one easy way is to make the equation equal to one of the other terms like x=6+y
x-6y=6
add 6y to both sides
x=6y+6 or x=6(y+1)
then you can plug in y values and get x values exg
(x,y)
(0,-1)
(6,0)
(12,1)
etc.
